Indian Mumbai Sting Operation by Senator A. Rehman Malik

The recent statement of Mian Nawaz Sharif, thrice elected prime minister of Pakistan, has created a political turmoil in the country and various controversial views have been coming in the media whereas Indian media used this statement to the advantage of India terming it as the confession of former prime minister of Pakistan displaying the involvement of Pakistan as a State in the Mumbai attacks. This propaganda of Indian media and statement of defence minister of India is absolutely rubbish as it is factually incorrect. I feel that the record should be corrected and, therefore, I am hereby placing the factual position for the eyes of the public.

Pakistan is already under observation in Financial Action Task Force (FATF), which is going to take a decision concerning Pakistan by this June and the controversial statement of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has provided India with an opportunity to propagate against Pakistan and to influence the decision of the FATF, while the factual position and the official stand during PPP government on Mumbai attack, which was based on hard facts and substantive evidence, was something different from the statement of Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and the subsequent propaganda by Indian media. The statement of Mian Nawaz Sharif is substantially contradictory to the facts, therefore, there is a need to put the record straight, especially when the statement was made by none other than a person who had remained prime minister of Pakistan for three times.

My first press conference, as interior minister, is available on Google and these contents were cleared by the National Security Council comprising of three services chiefs, other members of the cabinet and the then prime minister who chaired that meeting. The facts are that I, as then interior minister, had clearly stated then that the non-state actors have been used by Indian spy agency RAW. David Headley (Daoud Syed Gillani), a Pakistani origin US national – born and brought up in USA - had carried out the recce of the targets in India and was part of this plan. He was born as Daoud Sayed Gillani in Washington, DC, to Sayed Salim Gillani and Alice Sherrill Headley (Jewish by faith). Headley's father & his religion are often discussed, but when it comes to his mother, there is a studied silence. David was a child of a broken family & around the age of sixteen, Sherrill Headley took him away to the US where he changed his name from Daoud Gillani, to David Coleman Headley. Headley operated out of the key Zionist strongholds in the US, namely Chicago & New York & in India from Goa, Mumbai, Pushkar (Rajasthan) & Himachal Pradesh. This shows that he had nothing to do with Pakistan or the religion. He acted as chief coordinator of this act of terrorism.

David, a convict in a drug case, was launched from USA after giving him amnesty in the said drug case. He later established a travel agency in India as cover up which was fully supported by RAW. He visited Pakistan 5 times duly facilitated by RAW to launch its sting operation using Pak non-state actors. Few days earlier than the attack, a junior Indian policeman had recovered these maps from Ansari brothers, agents of RAW, who were also part of the plan. Indian RAW tried to cover it up but it had leaked to the media. These two brothers were although arrested to cover up but were ultimately released without any prosecution/trial.

It was RAW, which facilitated the non-state actors like Ajmal Kasab recruited from Pakistan by RAW. That is why India did not give access to Pak investigators to Ajmal Kasab despite numerous requests made to India. India even till today has not given response to 35 questions given to India on this matter. India did not cooperate with the visiting Pak commission appointed by the trial court. I even demand from India today to hand over two Ansari brothers to us enabling our investigator to ask them some questions regarding their involvement in the attack, their arrests and the reasons for their release. The question arises as to why these two Ansari brothers were not prosecuted by India who was fully involved in this whole terrorist operation as facilitator on behalf of RAW.

A professional Indian Police DIG Hament Karkare was killed on the same day (on the day of Bombay attack) mysteriously who had earlier exposed the terrorist act of RAW and RSS on Samjhota Express under the command of Army officer Lt Col Prasad Srikant Purohit. Both Faheem Ansari and Sabahuddin Ansari had acted as agents of RAW and they were interlocutors between RAW and non-state actors. They were the one who had helped David Headley in his recce.

Pakistan had put 35 questions and sent multiple dossiers to India to be answered by Indian authorities but were never responded. Telephones, which were used by Kharak Singh under phone call number 2012531824, IP address from Kuwait 8078132155 was also used and an IP of Spain, were never investigated by India. Payment was made from Italy.

Indian government denied access to Ajmal Kasab and other accused persons. The Pakistani judicial commission was not allowed to examine the witnesses and accused persons whereas government of Pakistan had fully cooperated with India in investigation and responded its questionnaire promptly with facts. FIA had also registered case against the alleged persons and investigated their alleged involvement in the planning or execution of the attack. During this investigation, carried out of a JIT comprising of senior officers were unanimous in their conclusions that no state actor, whosoever, was involved in this incident at any level. In fact it was State of India, which had engineered it to divert the international attention on the violation of human rights in Kashmir by the Indian Army.

It is a known fact that non-state actors like David Headley and Ajmal Kasab, worked for their own motives and money without having any regard to the nationality or allegiance of their masters. I wish Mian Sahib should have been aware of this distinction between state actors and non-state actors.

My claim that the Mumbai attack was in fact orchestrated by Indian RAW with the support of certain foreign countries has now been corroborated by Mr. Elias Davidsson in his 800-page book titled ‘The Betrayal of India: [A Close Look at the 2008 Mumbai Terror Attacks]’. Mr. Davidsson has explicitly claimed that it was a ‘false flag’ operation by Indian agencies. The statement of Mian Nawaz Sharif has created impression as if State of Pakistan had allowed these terrorists to act in India whereas factually it was a sting operation of RAW against Pakistan and RAW successfully used some non-state actors.

My earlier statement/ first press conference was based on investigation of a high-powered JIT and it was the factual national response to India whereas Mian Nawaz Sharif has given this incorrect statement in his individual capacity. However, since this statement has come from a former PM as such it would have harmful effects for Pakistan.

We need to see the recent statements of President Donald Trump claiming Pakistan as hub of terrorists and now the statement of Mian Nawaz Sharif could be taken as corroborating the stance of President Trump. This baseless statement from a former PM of Pakistan could be damaging for us worldwide. Such a statement implicating Pakistan amounts to backing UNO to enlist Hafiz Saeed, as terrorist, who was found not involved in this attack. He was proven innocent and the Supreme Court of Pakistan bailed him out.

Before the interview, Nawaz Sharif should have taken a briefing to mark difference between state actors and non-state actors. The Indian agent Ajmal Kasab was a non-state actor whereas Indian RAW agent Kulbhushan Jadhav is an established state actor of India.

For the people of both countries India and Pakistan, I am reproducing the 35 questions which the government of Pakistan had asked India regarding the Mumbai attacks but India had been consistently avoiding the response to those 35-questions which included demands for provision of fingerprints lifted from recovered weapons, personal articles and navigation devices etc., and the DNA profiles and clear photographs of all the ten accused for comparison with the available database. We also asked for the details of all the crewmembers (including the missing members) of the hijacked boat, which was allegedly used by the terrorists to arrive at Mumbai seashore. They were also requested to trace out the hijacked boat, provide its picture and the registration number for verification and to identify the hijacker who was killed. We asked if any FIR had been lodged by the family members of the missing crewmembers and what were the outcomes of investigations on their side, expectedly there was no response.

India was also required to provide Intercepted voice recording and photographs identified by Ajmal Kasab as of Abu Hamza, Kahfa and Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi. The questions regarding the details and profile of the driver and the taxi in which Ajmal Kasab had reportedly planted bomb before getting off at the station also remained unanswered. The Forensic analysis of numbers stored in memory of Thuraya’s telephone besides the call log and SMS history along with the complete mobile data, GPS data and call log details of the recovered cell phones of the accused were demanded without any response. They were requested to provide the CCTV footage of attackers for identification purpose as well as the details of the house in Azizabad, Karachi.

We even called for each and every minor detail of the recovered evidences like tailor/company marks on garments of accused recovered by police, location of the shop with city, photograph of the Yamaha engine with serial/product number for identification, photographs of engravings on weapons recovered from the accused and photographs of the areas of the railway station as well where the accused attacked indiscriminately. It was also demanded that they hand over the results of interrogation from Ajmal Kasab with Indian Police regarding the description of his associates, particulars of the hospital where they had entered before his arrest, registration numbers and photographs of the vehicles they used after escaping from the Railway station till the time he was arrested and how his accomplice Ismail was killed by the police.

The above questions present the factual position of the case along with evidence that the non-state actors from Pakistan including David Headley were recruited and financed by Indian RAW for India sponsored Mumbai Sting Operation.

I as interior minister held first press conferences and stated that non-state actors had done it having the support of RAW and subsequently my statement was proven beyond doubt.

Here is the statement of Mian Nawaz Sharif: “Militant organisations are active. Call them non-state actors, should we allow them to cross the border and kill 150 people in Mumbai? Explain it to me. Why can’t we complete the trial?”The plain reading of this statement suggests as if it was the state, which had allowed the non-state actors to cross over to India to kill the people.

I have appealed Mian Nawaz Sharif to withdraw his statement as he may be asked to testify at the forums like UNO, FATF and Indian court later that will be embarrassing for Pakistan as well as for him. I hope that he would withdraw his statement and ease out the tension as this statement has brought lowest in the mind of a common man hence it has dented his popularity graph. His own party leaders and a normal worker were not happy on this pro-India statement and this voice was echoed in the recent party conference chaired by his own brother and president of the party. It is in fact India, which is applying reverse psychology on Pakistan via its own Indian media.

I saw a headline in newspapers regarding the IJI funding case and distribution of money to certain prominent politicians, which reminded me the factual background and my time in the FIA under Gen. Naseerullah Baber and the Affidavit by Gen. Asad Durrani regarding distribution of those funds.

It took me to the time when I was in the FIA working as Director. I remember It was an early morning of a hot summer day when I got a phone call from Gen Babar asking me “chief “ (Gen. Baber used to address me as Chief) reach my office as we both have to be with PM.”

After next one hour we were with the Prime Minister Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto who handed over a hand written letter by Gen Asad Durrani, former DG/ISI, detailing about the distribution of government money to the politicians from Habib Bank through Younis Habib, the then Senior Executive Vice President of HBL who subsequently had opened his own bank namely Mehran Bank. Gen Asad Durrani had volunteered to state the facts to the nation out of his conscience.

I was, consequently, directed by the PM and the Minister for Interior to immediately fly to Germany and record the statement of Gen Asad Durrani who was posted as Ambassador of Pakistan there.

Within next 48 hours I was on the plane to reach Germany. I met General Durrani at his residence where we had some discussion. I was thinking as to why is he giving this statement spelling out the name of the politicians and involving his own institution and himself too. I could ask the said question as FIA officer as per given procedure. I found Gen. Durrani as most decent man and polite to speak. He had himself decided to expose the whole misdeeds of political interference/funding of IJI by his seniors including himself as well as the direct involvement of President Ishaq Khan.

During discussions I made it clear to him that being Ambassador he was under no pressure to disclose anything, which could eventually explode like a volcano hitting hard not only himself but also all the characters involved in this conspiracy back home. He, however, decided to rock the boat by exposing every character involved in the creation of IJI and funding against PPP. I was there to get his statement and wanted to finalise my assignment at the earliest. Out of two options i.e. either to write it down or get it typed, he decided to write it down with his own hand. He then wrote whole details on a plain paper with blue pen in his own hand.

After having the handwritten statement from Gen. Asad Durrani, I came back and handed over the same to Gen Babar who subsequently discussed it with the Prime Minister. Besides, I was directed by the Interior Minister to meet and discuss the contents with the then Attorney General for Pakistan, Qazi Jamil in his office in an arranged meeting with him. It was advised by the AG that the statement has to be on stamp paper in the form of an Affidavit to carry evidentiary value to the disclosures in the court.

As directed, I again visited Germany and met Gen. Durrani and conveyed the advice of the Attorney General. I remember it was late afternoon and we discussed the whole matter over on a cup of tea. Gen. Durrani decided to type out the Affidavit on stamp paper already issued in his name under his authority. I remember to have gone to his residence office where he himself typed out the Affidavit with his two fingers on an almost 50 years old type of typewriter.

I took the same and returned to Pakistan and got its coloured copies and kept the original at safe place with me and sealed coloured copies with my then staff office / DD FIA telling him this was the original affidavit. When I asked my Staff Officer after three days about that sealed letter purported to have been original one but to my horror the staff officer informed that it was not there where he had kept in lock and key. It was confirmation test to my earlier information that the said paper would be stolen.

I immediately informed the Minister about the missing of the coloured copy of the Affidavit and it was, consequently, decided that the original Affidavit should be handed over to the Registrar of the Supreme Court in the presence of the Attorney General. Accordingly, it was handed over to the Registrar in the presence of the witnesses. In fact, it was the intention of the then government to constitute a judicial commission to investigate it and Gen Babar obtained this permission on phone. As was expected, President Farooq Leghari showed his cold feet, as he himself was involved in Mehran Bank scam where he had sold his barren land to different people through Younis Habib on very high prices on cash and the Bank had favoured him through its Chief Operating Officer Younis Habib.

The Commission was, however, announced headed by Justice Bhatti, Judge of the Supreme Court with the following mandate: -

Investigation into money distributed from HBL as per the statement of Gen Durrani. Misdeeds within Mehran Bank.

The Prime Minister directed Gen Baber to discuss it with the then COAS Gen. Abdul Wahid Kakar in details and accordingly we, both the Minister and I visited the GHQ and met with the COAS to discuss the matter. — To be continued.

Internal borders under threat By Senator A. Rehman Malik

We as nation are passing through the most crucial phase of the history where we are facing both internal and external aggression giving rise to number of challenges.

The recent development in the political landscape of the country is witnessing the changing attitude of the masses where recent unfortunate tendency of targeting judiciary and defence forces of the country, although these are the main pillars of our strength.

Unfortunately, very foundations of these institutions are being attacked with specific agenda by some unwise people failing to understand the anti-Pakistan strong Lobby. Some anti Pak movements are being funded by enemies of Pakistan duly supported by greedy elements in the country.

The importance of the judiciary in a civilised world was appropriately described by the then Prime Minister Winston Churchill during World War II during a briefing on the casualties and economic collapse. He asked, “Are the courts functioning?” When told that the judges were dispensing justice as normal, Churchill replied, “Thank God. If the courts are working, nothing can go wrong.” It is, therefore, important to understand that in order to keep order in the society, the judiciary should be at the top of the priorities.

Similarly, the geographical existence of a country lies in the professionally robust defence forces. Armed forces of any country exhibit their strength with the help and support of the people of the country. It is well-known old and universally accepted phrases that if you want to destroy a country then discredit its Army. The Army is symbol of stability hence the enemy gets attack through its paid stooges and there are many in our country working as agent under different names and covers and hiding their anti-Pakistani faces.

It is continuity of large plan against Pak which I predicted nearly one year back wherein I had exposed the contents of such movements in advance quoting the conversation of senior USA journalist with an interview with a Russian TV anchor. Thank God our agencies detected in time and this foreign media component was kicked out of Pakistan.

Unfortunately, the post-Panama case judgment events have taken an ugly turn where the independence and the boundaries of judiciary are under attack and despite the vilification campaign launched against it, the judiciary has been acting cool and maintaining restraint.

If we fail to protect the boundaries of these internal institutions then our internal defence will go weaker day by day. When I say boundaries of institutions then I mean protection of their constitutional firewalls required to be protected as laid down in the constitution of Pakistan. In other words, if we cannot protect our internal boarders then we would keep getting weaker as a Nation. We are already suffering from the virus of Terrorism/ economic disorder/ political polarisation / non-serious role of Parliament and non-ending blames games on each other.

The Mafias have grown too bigger and it is perhaps now more powerful than Sicilian Mafia, which was limited in action but the present Mafias in Pakistan are controlling whatever they want to control ranging from politics to judiciary, bureaucracy and economy.

Mafias have their control on running government where opposition is also a partner in crimes and the Parliament seems to be crippled and made impotent enough to check their crimes. The accountability laws in the past were tailored for political victimisation and it is high time that there is a need to revisit these laws as per the changing requirements enabling the accountability institutions to take fast action without any discrimination.

There should be no compromise on national and internal security/foreign policy. We need to discipline our system to protect our internal borders. If we are internally strong then we should not worry about our external boards as our internal defence mechanism would be strong a guarantee for our external borders.

We need to curb mushroom growth of Jehadis and other terrorist organisations, which are posing serious internal threat and nation has recently witnessed its muscles and power of Jehadi Organisation where a single head of the Organisation crippled Islamabad with additional bonus of bundle abuses invented by leader supposedly preaching Islamic values Islamabad remained closed where as they jammed and paralysed the normal function of the Government and the lives of the people were made miserable by preventing them from their daily activities.

We need to draw a realistic list of our objectives and purse them at national level on priority. The concept of defending and building of inductions have fast eroding and there is more depletion in civilian public institutions because of continued ignoring of the merit and non-transparency in contracts awarding. The fear of accountability is not there and institutions follow the individuals and wish of politicians rather than the book of law. Pakistan is a country where has become rare commodity.

We stand today under an external debt of $200 billion just because we did not observe the economic discipline and not protect the slide of Pak currency. FBR has not been able to enhance the tax base so for, which means that the Government has failed to energise FBR to have muscles to deal with the powerful mafia of the country.

I had predicted that rupee will steep fall and will be Rs. 125 to dollar where as it has already reached to Rs. 120 to a dollar which means those who are handling hit are most like sleeping are following the pigeon-eye.

China as per our claim is all-weather friend, gained its independence after the creation of Pakistan. UBS has recently published a paper depicting some facts about the economic growth of China. According to its study, “since 1970s, the economy has grown at a rate of up to 10% a year; in the first half of last year, GDP was 6.9% higher than the previous year; the economy is bigger than that of both Germany and Japan and it could soon overtake the USA; it produces five time more STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) graduates than the USA; and, its predicted spending on R&D (research and development) will surpass the USA’s this year”.

Let us understand that we need to build our internal systems stronger to make the country stronger enabling it to face any untoward aggression on the country. The strong economy is a guarantee to a strong defence of the sovereignty of our country. We, as a nation and country, would find difficult to sustain ourselves under heavy external debts and we have to address this issue with nationalistic approach. We need to defend and energise our economic boarders by strengthen our economy on priority basis.

I would finish with this quote “Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work”

God has given us opportunity to become a great nation and let us not miss it.If we as present generation do not miss these opportunities then coming generations will always remember us in a good way with respect as Nation builders.

Let us march to protect national internal boarders in every sphere of life to give new life to our beloved Pakistan. Pakistan is calling for-this protection from every single Pakistani.

In the end I advise that all internal institution must play balance .There should be no Overstepping of constitutional limit in the greater national interest.

Anti-Pakistan groups and Afghan NDS by Senator A. Rehman Malik

I held a press conference on 23rd August 2017 wherein I had stated that a conspiracy had already been launched for creating anti-Pakistan grouping within KPK and FATA, which would be duly supported by Western Media. The movement would be coupled with separatists in Afghan. The nation did notice that anti-Pakistan messages were seen on the buses of UK and large display on the public transport of Switzerland.

Now groups have been created in the name of FATA demand, but at the same time, some people in the USA are hiring lobbyists to use some people in KPK and FATA.

The US authorities though have been verbally condemning terrorist attacks in Pakistan for years but despite knowing about their presence in Afghanistan, USA did not do anything to break the nexus between the terrorist groups and NDS against Pakistan. There’s no confusion regarding the fact that the NDS is supporting the terrorist groups and anti-Pakistan groups. And there is no doubt that the NDS is RAW’s poodle working against Pakistan.

I heard the latest speech of President Donald Trump on Pakistan recently, and the first thing which struck my mind was the sacrifices given by the people of FATA where every mother, father, sister and son suffered in this so-called war on terror imposed by the USA.

Thanks to our present military leadership that has refused to play further in the hands of USA and refused to extend its policies in FATA.

Both people of FATA and Army have defeated the Zaliman and other agents of NDS. Success has many claimants hence many will emerge to become the leaders on the blood sacrificed by the people of FATA and KPK.

The real right of FATA’s leadership should be given to those who fought against the Zaliman, not to those whose brothers and fathers fought with Zaliman to shed the blood of innocent people of FATA and now seen raising slogans in favour of FATA and shamelessly against the Army.

My respect, love and support FATA is well known to the people of FATA as I have always fought for the rights of people of FATA as DG FIA and subsequently as Minister of Interior. I played a crucial role in initiating the implementation of political act through the then presidency and even today there is a bounty of Rs. 1 billion on my head by TTP as I was openly fighting in favour of FATA.

I am still determined being a strong supporter of rights to all small provinces and FATA and most recently I delivered a speech in favor of the rights of people FATA. I have also supported the merger of FATA in KPK duly supported by PPP.

I will continue to support FATA politically and in person .I, however, would like to place the hard facts on record, and the ongoing anti-Pakistan and anti-FATA plans are before every patriotic eye, and we need to see the emerging negativity against Pakistan and especially the growing anti-Pakistan mind-set of Trump against Pakistan.

With the above facts, I would like to refer to my press conference last year again where I had boldly stated with evidence that anti-Pakistan hostile agencies would launch a hate plan which would be broadcasted both through electronic and print media.

Thanks to the elite intelligence which got anti-Pakistan radio station shut along with ousting of some anti-Pakistan media undercover agents.

Let’s have a look at our history when the Jehadis were brought from all over the world during the time of General Zia with his consent and it was launched with covert financial backing of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency and we helped them in their fight against the Soviets. We got nothing in return only accusations and allegations. Here we Pakistanis get emotional and non-pragmatic when we fail to protect ourselves. We were bitten twice from the same hole, and poison went into every fibre of society.

In fact, first set back was given to us by Gen Zia ul Haq who had sided with the USA against the Soviet Union when he received a message from the USA through Director CIA William J. Casey in the presence of Lt Gen Akhter Abd-ur-Rehman. We fought, and USA defeated the Soviet Union with our logistic support and Americans packed and left numerous problems in FATA.

The second order of this early century was simply conveyed to General Musharraf who followed and placed his full support in the plate before the USA to attack Afghanistan post 9/11. Since then, the shock of USA war on terror is haunting like a ghost to every Pakistani and our uncounted sacrifices, financial as well as human, have been completely ignored by the USA.

I was shocked by the latest statement of Trump in which he said, “We have been paying Pakistan billions and billions of dollars.”

I would like to remind Mr Trump, “You must know that Pakistan has already spent $123.13 billion for your war on terror and we are suffering because of your war on terror for the last 16 Years either directly or indirectly.” Whereas, the US aid indicated by Trump to Pakistan during the same period was not more than US $ 30 billion which was again recycled in the war on terror. Moreover, there has been 73 percent decline in US security assistance to Pakistan since 2011, and 53 percent decrease in economic aid, as per the statistics released by your Congressional Research Service (CRS).

Mr. President we have been suffering in the hands of terrorists on daily basis.

The loved ones of those 6200 people who got killed have no help and not a word of sympathy from you. We are unable to give them an explanation as to why so many Pakistani innocent people were allowed to be killed in your war on terror. We neither have any justification to the parents of those children who lost their lives in your war on terror during the last 17 years. Not a single American came forward to at least console them. They were as dear to their loved ones as the dear ones of 2996 victims of 9/11 in your country.

Where was any fault of Pakistan or Pakistanis in 9/ 11 then why Pakistan suffered post 9/11? Have you, Mr President, ever said a single word of sympathy to the parents of these innocent people? No. You say Pakistan is “a haven for agents of chaos, violence and terror.”

Yes, president, it was correct as all American CIA agents and trained so-called Jehadis were present, and Pakistan was a haven for them till our new Army chief bluntly decided to curb the presence of USA agents and their associates,

Yes, Mr President, it was USA who turned Pakistan’s soil into a hub of USA spymasters to launch its activities from here against Russia. It became the hub of CIA activities and your army for launching attacks against Afghanistan. You must know that it has never been the hub of terrorists or the Haqqani Network but your own CIA and undercover agents planned and implemented your GEO military operations on this soil.

We are pleased with the refusal of our defence leadership for saying no to your new GEO military order. Now you have reversed your war and engineered it via Afghanistan against the Pakistani soil where Islamic State is being nourished against Pakistan as NDS is interfering and trying to create a wedge within the people of FATA and KPK?

Our intelligence caught western media operators convincing the locals to stand against the Army and abuse them. These media operators were thrown out with evidence as we had substantive information well in advance about the funding of such anti-Pakistan movements to harm Pakistan.

These new emerging groups have more romance with terrorism and NDS is now reenergizing the TTP terrorists by coupling their links with new emerging groups within FATA to start yet another wave of terrorism from this new troika consisting of IS, new groups from FATA, and TTP.

NDS must know this will be counterproductive, as you cannot exploit the patriotic people of FATA in the name of their rights and with negative propaganda. They are our brothers and sisters, and they will get what they demand but you will never be able to break KPK, and the people in FATA as KPK are aware of western ill intentions and motives. Our forces are alert and competent enough to avert any such moves from hostile groups. Mr. President Donald Trump! You must study the history of FATA and then decide should the USA stay in Afghanistan or leave. My sincere advice to you President is that your forces should leave this region as soon as possible otherwise people of USA and world will accuse you as the defeated President in Afghanistan just like the way Mr Regan had died with the stigma of Vietnam defeat. Pakistan will stand by you if needed, provided; you treat us at par with yourself and India. We would like to pursue our friendship with the USA for broader interest of the international community but only on equal terms.

In the end, I would request you to kindly convey this message to NDS through President Ghani to stop supporting and funding the creation of new groups in KPK and FATA. We already know who is funding them and who is giving cyber support to them and even maintaining their social media accounts and from which area of Afghanistan.

Mr. President! Show some grace to this region and have this new monster of terrorism stopped before it comes to bite the USA and other world communities. You are wrong to doubt the efficiency and potentials of our army, police and other members of the law enforcement agencies as they are very successfully and persistently fighting the miscreants. They have already killed a good number of 33711 insurgents/terrorists in Pakistan since 2003. We hope NDS will stop destabilising Pakistan by funding and raising new anti-Pakistan groups.

Inter-Political Migration by Senator A. Rehman Malik

Migration is a worldwide phenomenon, which, in literal terms, is defined as the movement of a person from one country, place or locality to another. It happens both through legal and illegal ways. Migration normally occurs due to economic stress, which forces people to migrate.

I intend to talk about a short-term migration process here, which is performed by the members of one political party to another. This kind of migration is illegal if we put it to the test of ethics but this act is not culpable through any laws. It is like the migration of birds, which are not supposed to abide by any sort of migration laws.

It would not be wrong to say that this season of migration normally begins about six months before the elections. These migrating birds look up for a better opportunity to fly by making right choice of weather.

Political birds migrate with incentive of better opportunities from one party to other. It is unfortunate and highly unethical that this kind of migration takes place without any legal consequences. Let us examine the circumstances and the reasons of this unfortunate migration.

Category 1: There could be genuine migration if the highest party leadership of a party is not happy with a particular leader and then force him to migrate by satisfying himself and his voters and perhaps it is a bit acceptable.

Category 2: It is the tools when the leader feels that his leadership ignores his importance, which forces the leader to migrate.

Category 3: The pressure of friends and family to leave his party for some local and other personal reason or latent fears.

Category 4: This category is basically looks out the benefit aspects and asses the potentials of another political party vis-à-vis winning the elections this make the leader greedy and his own lust of power blinds him and he migrates to the other party hoping to win again and looking forward to get a flag car. This category attracts mass migration of the leaders and finally in search of better opportunities ignoring their damage in terms of their reputation.

There are four main lands in Pakistan that are available for migrating political birds, which can perhaps be named as Tehreek land, Peoples land, Noon Land and Q land.

PPP got good number of seats in 2003 elections yet some veteran PPP politicians despite promising their loyalty to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and PPP, migrated towards Q League. I was present there and witnessed the whole thing and within 24 hours “Patriots” joined the Q Land / Gen. Musharraf in and rest is history.

It is part of the history that PML Q emerged out of PMLN and then PMLN sucked 19 prominent electable of PMLQ that include former MPA’s and MNA’s both.

Most of the temporary mass migrations of PPP and PMLN who lands to Tehreek land were basically planned through the so called propaganda of Tabdili as 15 prominent figures from PPP whereas 14 members from Noon land have migrated to Imran Khan’s Tehreek land.

History is repeating the cycle of migration that N league had started, by the migration of their own stalwarts to other political parties of the country. It’s a matter of time as many have left and others are weighing their options and soon we would see the migration ship full of such political migrants leaning for other destinations with the hope to get into power. Many of them already have done their part such as the 20 most veterans members of N land have joined hands with PTI and PMLQ.

Well there is no legal provision in the law to stop such migration and hence they are answerable to none except for their conscience. There are defections clauses present in the Constitution for the elected members only but not for the ones who are not the members of Parliament. The article 63(a) of the Constitution only provides for the disqualification of a member on grounds of defection. It says that if a member of a Parliamentary Party resigns from membership of his political party or joins another Parliamentary Party or votes or abstains from voting for the party to which he belongs, he/she would stand disqualified from being member of the Parliament.

According to the law, the only penalty the person who has defected faces is that he has to give explanation to the head of the party if the explanation is found unsatisfactory, the matter is referred to the Pakistan Election Commission for notification of his/her disqualification. The Chief Election Commission would, within seven days, declares the seat vacant and announces the by-elections for the vacant seat.

This temporary political migration always creates one or more pressure groups to gain importance. It is ironic as to how people who are labeled to be corrupt and dishonest by a party, later gets rewarded and credited with party ticket by the same party. The party then portrays them as its valuable and clean assets.

This seasonal migration trend needs to be curbed out of the society; by putting ban on party changing at least one year before General elections and the person who commits defection must be disqualified for 10 years. Moreover, this must be imposed that any new arrival in the party will not be able to contest election in the new party for 5 years. The Nation needs to see the end of LOTAISM in every political party.

It is being assessed that this political imbalance will be through shining Gold lotas and this political lotaism is expected with their strength to emerge as pressure groups in Federal and provincial level.

It will be displayed in the political showcase with the labels “Buy me if you can” and we will see they will fetch higher the prices at the cost of national interest.
