Modi to become Mahatma Modi by Senator A. Rehman Malik

The world is becoming even more perilous and lethal with every passing day. Every day we see incidents of violence happening all over the world. Our region is coming under more under threat after the recent attack in Sri Lanka by Daeshism and newly emerging terrorist phenomena of RSS-ism growing under the nose of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Now the world can say it has a new terrorism wing, election cohesive wing and anti-Kashmiri wing.
The Indian election has set a preamble for more violations against Muslims in India and is making India even more perilous and lethal with every passing day. The outcome has also proven the terroristic power of RSS-ism and now this new terrorist ideology called “Daeshism” has created a new threat as this latest nexus of RSS-ism and Daeshism is going to make India a dictatorial and terrorism-sponsoring state.
It is public knowledge now that the local wings of the RSS went door to door to Muslim houses cautioning them not to vote on Election Day. It is understood that RSS and PM Narendra Modi have used its anti -Muslim syndrome by blocking Muslims to vote on their own will. Now after the victory of Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Narendra Modi, the Muslims in India fear for their future as just days later of the Indian elections, an elderly Muslim trader in the the north-eastern state of Assam was leaving work when he was accosted by a mob and in another incident, a young Muslim was beaten by a mob of Hindu extremists alleging him for slaughtering a cow. The voice of Indian Muslims is being muted by RSS and according to Human Rights Watch report of February 2019, alone between May 2015 and December 2018, more than 44 people out of which 36 were Muslims were killed across 12 Indian states. Around 280 people were injured in more than a 100 incidents across 20 states over the same period. The International Community, United Nations and Human Rights bodies have to take serious notice of minority persecution in India which will be increasing in upcoming years under the premiership of Narendra Modi.
I have described his complex personality in my book “Modi’s War Doctrine”. My assessment was that he will use the RSS militancy to win the elections and exactly the same thing has happened in Election-2019.
We know the history of PM Narendra Modi being associated with an Indian extremist organization RSS, now he has won another term in the office. During his first term as PM, he was accused of promoting extremist and terrorist agenda but now they are advancing further since a controversial Hindu ascetic and BJP leader Pragya Thakur has won the election by a big margin in the central city of Bhopal. The woman was charged with being involved in Samjhota Express and Malagaon attack on Muslims in 2006 which killed many. Narendra Modi gained prominence in the year 2001 when he was appointed Chief Minister of Gujarat and the next year in February 2002, historic unfortunate religious bloodshed known as Gujarat riots broke out. 59 Hindu pilgrims while returning from Ajodhya were burnt to ashes. The responsibility was placed on the Muslim community in Gujarat, and so the Hindus carried out the worst Muslim genocide. A train was burnt in fire at Godhra, Gujarat killing more than 1,000 people amongst whom 729 were Muslims. Narendra Modi was accused of planning and initiating this massacre and violence against Muslims in order to win the upcoming elections but was given a clean chit and evidence was also suppressed by the local police.
Even today, Narendra Modi never refrains from playing the anti-Pakistan card. As the elections were drawing near, he started creating tensions on the LOC between Pakistan and Indian military forces to gain support from his people against Pakistan by carrying out false surgical strikes and escalating war just like he did after the Uri incident. He allegedly also planned Pulwama attack by killing his own soldiers in order to turn Indians against Pakistan so that another fake operation could be carried out and he could get more love and support from his people in the form of votes. However, he failed in his false operation as the Pakistan Army took bold action against the failed cowardly attack on its airbase by knocking down the Indian air jets as well as capturing their wing commander- Abhinandan Varthaman.
India has yet again shown its extremist mindset against Muslims and other religions by electing a religious bigot as Prime Minister. Modi knew that the more he campaigned against Muslims and Pakistan, the more support he would get from his people and so he led a whole election campaign on the basis of hatred against Pakistan as well as the Muslims.

Modi is following a pseudo-secularist system. He blocked the High Court’s order for the state government to rebuilt mosques set on fire by his cabinet minister in Naroda Patiya, saying that a secular state government does not build mosques. But when it comes to a temple in other states (Ram temple and Kedarnath), he is willing to build it on his government’s pseudo-secular money.
RSS has made PM Modi an uncrowned king but the same uncrowned king will be overthrown by RSS and the public if he fails to deliver what he has been brought for. PM Modi will be victim in the hands of his own RSS-ism and the Indian brand of Daeshism.

I, however, see a good way for PM Modi if he changes his war-oriented policies and creates a peaceful environment for both countries, Pakistan and India, to work jointly for the poor masses on both sides, and fights against poverty and social injustice on both sides. Unfortunately, we are fighting for the arms race, working ways and means to dominate each other and only putting efforts on other resources in countering each other by demonstrating arms and missiles.

Both countries need to sit on the table and resolve their disputes peacefully.

International economic terrorism using Daeshism by Senator A. Rehman Malik

The world is distressed because of terrorism as it has caused loss of lives and destruction to infra- structure and continued feeling of terror across the world. The world has different threat perceptions and dimensions which are increasing day by day. We have been watching over only one dimension of terrorism which is physical harm created through dreadful ways by the terrorists by using suicide attackers and other destructive explosives etc.
I have named terror of Daesh as ‘Daeshism’- a concept which is emerging to destroy the economies of the country and this has taken over the world terrorism. My perception about Daesh is a bit different from others as it is based on detailed study. We all presume Daesh to be a simple terrorist organisation but to me it something far beyond our imagination. It has the ability not only to give physical harm but also to destroy the economies of the world by jamming the national growth rates of the targeting nations.
I advocate that ‘Daeshism’ is being used by the masters for their own goals and objectives and this concept came to be implemented through Arab Spring. It would be a brief reminder to refer to the pre and post Arab spring when Daeshism was launched with Iraqi invasion and the black prince played his role through his USA backed “black water outfit” being the undeclared partner of terror and clandestine backing of pro-American Taliban.
‘Daeshism’ became active under the name of Muslim brotherhood as well and it worked to bring President Hosni Mubarak to his knees and finally put him into a cage as in his presence further job in the Middle East would have been left unfinished hence he was to be neutralised by bringing Muslimhood to operate in Libya.
The support of Jordan was already there as Prince Talal was not allowed to become the king and King Hussain of Jordon close to the Americans ensured an American friendly government. The entire Middle East leadership tried to save Hosni Mubarak but he was not excused and finally what happened is now part of the history.
The king Abdullah of Saudi Arabia had expressed his fears in one of the meeting to me that USA is not sparing Hosni Mubarak despite his request.
Similarly another prominent top leader of Middle East while chatting on dinner asked me if Hosni Mubarak will survive or not to which I had said ‘No’ in reply. His reaction to my response made his face red and stated that USA had promised not to depose him. A president of another country was also present and I said mark my words that Hosni Mubarak will not survive.
I had also stated that it is being done for new economic and political order and this covert state aggression is to destroy the economic growth and to create further rift within Middle East and also to widen a constant wedge between Middle East and Iran.
In fact, it was preamble set to destroy the economic specifically of oil rich countries through Daeshism. We have seen the effects of Daeshism in Iraq the way Daesh and al-Qaeda worked jointly against Iraq on one hand and on other hand against Saudi Arabia and the way Iraq was destroyed by Daeshism under Abu Bakar Bugdadi using American arms and ammunition operating on ground and the aerial attacks by USA and Turkish aircraft.

It is simply an understandable situation as it carries no theory of Einstein but a simple theory of war on soils enabling schemers to get the remote control on the local economies.
The Daeshism played its role and today we witness a strong wedge within the Middle East allowing Daeshism to further damage the growing economies through destabilization, destruction of infra-structure, terror for the investors and destruction of their communication networks, oil fields and its transportation.
The end game of Daeshism is to destroy the infra-structure and scare the investors and the tourists. Basically Daeshism is another dimension of terrorism and the object is to play for their masters.
Interestingly this destruction initially cripples the economies and then they are forced to get energised by IMF and World Bank resultantly the victim nation falls in the trap of IMF loan and to get rid of these IMF’s loans is a nightmare. This nightmare can be well judged by the situation of helplessness and suffocated economy of Pakistan. What a bad luck to the third world and Muslim states witnessing transition of terrorism from Jihadists to Taliban and from Taliban to al-Qaeda and now to Daeshism. The name varies but the targets and directions are the same carrying the same motive which is to destroy the economies via Economic terrorism using Daeshism.

Current global terrorism dimensions and failure of world leaders by Senator A. Rehman Malik

Former Interior Minister and Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Interior Senator A. Rehman Malik delivered a conference entitled “The growing threat of Global Terrorism” on May 20, 2019 at Trinity College, Oxford University. He was invited by Majlis Society on behalf of the Oxford Unions. The lecture was attended by a large number of international students representing seven different Oxford Unions, faculty members, local senior politicians and journalists. He presented Pakistan’s narrative on war on terror and counted the sufferings of Pakistan because of terrorism and war on terror. Senator Rehman Malik is the only Pakistani after Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto to address this prestigious forum. The soft launching ceremony of Senator Rehman Malik’s book “Daesh – Rising Monster Worldwide” also held at end of the lecture and number of his first book “Modi’s War Doctrine” was presented to the students, faculty members, journalists and other participants with author signature.

Senator A. Rehman Malik delivers lecture at Oxford University
Following is the full transcript of Senator A. Rehman Malik's speech delivered at Oxford University.

We are living in a world where the threat perception with different dimensions is increasing day by day and the international community has so far failed to come up with collective response to these growing serious threats. Today, world is less peaceful than the past and becoming more dangerous with every passing day. We see every day some incident of violation happen anywhere in the world.
The word “terrorism” has become a symbol of more “terror” and it has now assumed more dreadful role than its simple original definition.
It is unfortunate that “terrorism” is now being used to achieve political and ideological goals. The history of terrorism from Japan to Germany in the past was at a limited scale and now its magnitude is increased and it has appeared as a monster in the form of syndicates and well organised crime. It is now international fact that wars bring miseries and bread terrorism which has stood established since the end of the World War -II.
USSR invaded Afghanistan and this act of USSR planted the seeds of violence through religious militancy duly supported by CIA. In fact CIA recruited thousands of disgruntled Muslim elements and criminals from Europe and Canada and launched them with full military training in Afghanistan via Pakistan for their own goals and objectives. These militants / Jehahadis with the support of Americans defeated USSR and towards the end of this war it contributed in disintegrating USSR and gave birth to Russia and central Asian states.
I am an eye witness of Afghan war as director FIA, then DG FIA and most importantly as Federal Interior Minister of Pakistan for 5 years and the thrice elected senator and currently watching overseeing the reports as the Chairman of Senate Standing Committee on Interior. The Afghan issue and Kashmir issue are very serious which have endangered the regional and international peace.
I remember, when I identified OBL through his links with Yousef Ramsey (First bomber of world trade centre and maternal uncle of Zahid ul Shiekh and Khalid Ul Shiekh) and their activities were against Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. The potential of terrorism exists even today by associates of OBL now in the form of Daesh/ISIS and Al-Qaeda. This high level trained force of Afghan and Afro- Arab Jihadis were left alone and they lost their jobs and hence their retaliation was natural in the form consolidation of their own militant groups.
This abrupt and sudden ditch by USA was not accepted by these militants and almost the entire force emerged as Taliban on both sides of Pakistan and Afghanistan. I witness Mullah Umer becoming the leader of Taliban and other groups went with Engineer Gulbuddin Hekmatyar who was trained by CIA and later he joined OBL and spent most of his time in Iran till his joining of government of President Hamid Karzai.
These militants were subsequently adopted by OBL for his group Al-Qaeda with the help of Ayman al-Zawahiri, the second in command of Al Qaeda.I, in the capacity of then Director FIA Peshawar region had interrogated many associates of OBL and al-Zawahiri and based on my background information, I can say with authority that the birth of Taliban and Al Qaeda would have not been evolved if USA had not left these remnants of militants jobless in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
The emergence of Taliban government became nursery of militants and terrorists and their growth was unprecedented. They used terror as weapon and they introduced suicide jacket as a new weapon and they have been using it successfully till now.
I named Taliban as Zaliman (The Cruel) after witnessing their brutalities and their dreadful acts of terrorism against innocent people. The terrorist act of 9 /11 changed the economic and political face of the world and the birth of various new terrorist outfits including Daesh. We have entered into terrorism ridden domain of fears from the terrorist outfits from the various regions of the world. The emergence of Daesh has shaken the whole world and its creation in Iraq is no more a secret.
I have discussed the background of its creation in detail and then its growth from Iraq to entire Middle East, then Turkey and Afghanistan. I had pointed out three years back its presence in South Asia and its ingress-to Sri Lanka via India. The soil of India has been used for its training and launching terrorism in Sri Lanka and in Pakistan. We should never forget that the vast majority of terrorist attacks take place in developing countries and Muslim areas. The recent attacks in New Zealand and Sri Lanka have shaken the world. This growth and uncontrolled acts of terrorism has brought an acute perception of insecurity and endless fear among all the communities which is a big challenge for the international community. The concept of interfaith harmony is vaporising and world leaders are not playing their rightful role towards elimination of terrorism.

The international community is confused and divided, while terrorism thrives on divisions. Terrorism is fundamentally the denial and destruction of human rights. The fight against terrorism will never succeed by perpetuating the same denial and destruction. We must relentlessly fight terrorism to protect human rights and make our generations safe with collective efforts. We will not be able to counter the menace of terrorism unless international community moves with collective counter measures and common strategy. I have always advocated for a common counter-terrorism strategy against the common enemy means terrorists.
The world is entangled with geo-political frictions and in many ways the world leadership is responsible for growth of terrorism due to unwise and wrong decisions and destroying the concept of interfaith and international brotherhood. Earlier support of Taliban by USA, covert Arab spring strategy and others covert operations in the region created unrest in Middle East. The involvement of Prince Irk of infamous black water in state affairs and indulgence in Afghanistan and Africa, attacks on Iraq and disbanding the Iraqi Army, attack on Syria through Al Qaeda and Daesh, mistake in Iraq to divide the Muslim into Shia and Sunni and inciting clashes among them, massacre of Fallujah Iraq, non-resolved issues of Palestine and Kashmir and noncompliance of UNO resolutions, invasion of Afghanistan by USA on the pattern of USSR and American fight with the local Tribes and self- created Taliban, all these added fuel to unrest in the region and terror across the world.
American conflict with Iran and internal rifts within Middle East and also the Saudia - Iran ongoing conflict is now a emerging a situation of Cold War between USA and China which will not be good for the whole world peace and economy and USA - Russia conflict and this Cold War is visible and increasing day by day.

In addition above conflicts there is real danger of nuclear conflict in South Asia as there are four major nuclear players Russia, China, Pakistan and India. These all disputes have polarised the world leaving the room for the terrorists to grow and act and they can play any bloody dangerous game and could be used by any party. In fact we have noticed that the wheelers and dealers of this world create small groups for some geo political interests but with the passage of time the same group turn into monsters like Al Qaeda, Boko Haram and Daesh.
These major terrorist outfits have recruited huge number of youth from USA, Europe and other parts of world including Russia and China. World needs to have a global interfaith forum to come with international stringent laws in view of the growing dangers. The world players has to withdraw their motivated regional geo - political interests in various parts of the world and to ensure to dry the funds and weapons supplies to these terrorist outfits. These terrorists organisations are establishing their roots in poverty ridden areas and communities particularly in under developing counties. The respective governments need to take strong appropriate measures to stop this exploitations by terrorists by launch effective counter measures.

Internet and social media has now become a big source for their communication, recruitment, disseminating violent extremist propaganda and also fund raising. The recruitment of violent extremists through social media is continuing and presently being used by Daesh’s outfit works wide. The radicalisation of youth is the real serious issue and terrorists are advocating violation and militancy. The mode of violence varies from country to country. The masterminds of terrorism draw strength from resentment, humiliation, lack of education and mainly poverty. Pakistan and Afghanistan have witnessed some parents even sold their young teen aged children to Taliban to be used as suicide bomber.
The De-radicalisation is the answer at state level. The threat of growing terrorism is real and it would be a mistake to assume that military operations alone will eradicate terrorism. In fact we need to change the mindset of the terrorists and potential victims among the youth. That is why a smart and comprehensive doable global counter-terrorism strategy is required for addressing the root causes of violent extremism.
I would like to suggest few key counter-terrorism priorities, and main is to develop respect for human rights and the rule of law to secure long-term benefits in the fight against it. We need much stronger international cooperation on counter-terrorism by sharing intelligence and fixing counter terrorism as the top priority. A common counter-terrorism strategy under the flag of United Nations under which it shall be made obligatory to be implemented by every member state. Our strong resolve should therefore be international unity, solidarity and collaboration. There is an urgent need for governments and security agencies to collaborate far more effectively in fighting terror with the global partners. There is still no consensus on a comprehensive Convention on International Terrorism. But there are 19 different international conventions and many regional instruments in this field that make it easier to prosecute terrorists, enhance protection, and cooperate in other key areas where as we need a solid a single convention on it. They are true manifestation of the international rule of law. Signing them and ratifying them is not enough unless it became international law to become mandatory by each member state. One major reason for this is lack of opportunity so jobs, education and vocational training for young people must be an absolute priority in national development plans and in international development cooperation. Young people are an overwhelmingly positive asset to our societies. We must invest in them and empower them enable them to get involved in positive activities.
In the end, I would like to share our experience in Pakistan as we fought this war on terror to show our resolve to the international community and even today we are in state of war against terrorism. We jumped in this war despite our meagre resources and we sacrificed more than 70 thousands innocent Pakistanis and 10 thousands soldiers with a huge devastation to our infrastructure which was loss of billions of dollars. The war on terror and our support to USA brought reduction in growth rate and the investors left Pakistan because of uncertain security situation as terrorists are still targeting Pakistan because of our support to USA in war on terror. Let me say our economy has deteriorated to the present undesirable level and “our participation in war on terror” is the major among other factors. This has destroyed our economy as instead of relying our home grown economic growth, we have been now relying on borrowing funding by IMF.
Unfortunately west still views us with doubts in the context of our efforts against terrorism. USA has always been insisting on “do more Pakistan”. In two separate meetings with then US President George W. Bush and then US President Barak Obama, I told why always Pakistan to do more and why not to have a common strategy to combat our common enemy - terrorists but unfortunately both had no answer. And, whereas Ms. Condoleezza Rice the then US Secretary State in the same meeting with President Bush confirmed that USA does not have common strategy to fight this common enemy. I had the similar arguments with Secretary Hillary Clinton and Secretary John Kerry but the situation did not improve and US couldn’t work to formulate a common strategy to combat the common enemy- terrorists. I wish the present dialogue between USA and Afghan Taliban succeed.

IMF tsunami bulldozing Pak Rupee by Senator A. Rehman Malik

I had predicted three months back that Rupee will hit to 150 to a dollar before the budget and now according to the Economic indicators I can say that it is going to hit further increase up to 160 to 165 post budget. It is yet to see whether the government would try to hold Rupee to at least to the present value to avoid further fall by using its abilities.
It looks as if the government has decided to allow the fall to fulfil its commitments to IMF for devaluation of rupees. The economic team must know that IMF had its own hidden agenda as this devaluation along with the other strict conditions are going to further black mail our country. This devaluation will create serious impacts over Pak economy. The price hike graphs will jump upward unhindered and inflation will increase further, also the essential imported items will become even more expensive. These pre-conditions of IMF have started giving jolts to our economy and sleepless nights to a common man as more growing price hike will now become a nightmare for the poor masses.
In fact the IMF deal was already done as the indicators of depleting rupee and new taxes were the part of the conditions but the economic teams preferred to keep it hidden from the nation due to their ulterior motives. The new economic team was “brought-in to materialize the IMF demands and convert it into the form of an agreement for further mortgaging the nation. The deal of further mortgaging of national assets is done and so we must be ready for additional burden.
This deal coupled with other economic parameters suggests that the price hike will be like a bigger tsunami which will bring bigger monster of price hike and thanks to IMF lovers in Pakistan.
The public was expecting that the government would not increase the price of petrol as almost every cabinet member had denied any further increase in petroleum prices. It is fortunate to note that despite constant denials at all levels the price was increased at the cost of the peace of mind and happiness of a common man.
The price of petrol was increased by Rs. 9/- before the open IMF deal but it is said that it was also part of the covert deal with IMF. This increase will leave accumulative effects to escalate more price hike and people will come under more economic pressure.
The condition of the IMF to increase the oil prices was met and is further dreadful to note that the Inflation in Pakistan has now reached to 9.41% from 8.82% in March only; the highest in last 5 years. It happened obviously because the government allowed it go higher as the controlling parameters were allowed to behave freely and additional printing of currency notes and more internal and external loans attributed in the increase inflation. The common man has been further burned with massive price hikes in all commonly used items across the country during Ramadan A view on the common italics are that Meat sellers increased prices by Rs. 20 -50 per kg, mutton dealers have increased prices to Rs. 1050 /- from Rs. 950 /-, boneless meat is now being sold at Rs 620 - 640 from Rs 600/- per kg, chicken dealers are charging as high as Rs 380 - 390 per kg, whereas in the last week of March, the chicken meat was being sold between Rs. 310 - 320 per kg.It is a picture of one item being consumed by the public
Among non-perishable items, flour prices have been raised twice. Sugar prices have also risen to Rs 70 /- per kg from Rs65 /- per kg. On the other hand, among vegetables, prices of onion have been increased.
Oil and Ghee Manufacturers also did not hesitate to do theirs by increasing the price of good quality cooking oil and ghee to Rs200/- per liter, after a jump of Rs20, as two months back it was being sold at Rs180 per liter.
Recently the government threw another inflation bomb on people by increasing the price of petroleum once again as a 12% increase in the price of petrol and 17% increase in diesel, light diesel and furnace oil has been announced. It seems as if the government is playing with the sentiments of people by first relaxing them with false hopes of no petroleum price hike and then actually making an increase over night. Petrol now costs Rs108 per liter and diesel costs Rs122.32 per liter.
It is unfortunate to note that this is still not the end of story as Pakistan is yet to deal with a fiscal budget 2019 ahead in few days and further taxes and price hikes will bring more burdens on the economy as indirect and direct taxes are expected to be imposed. The post budget situation is going to be dreadful for a common man.
The budget deficit is another dangerous factor and how will the government will be able to narrow down the deficit of 38 Kharab (i.e. 3.8 Trillion) and at the same time how the government will be able to do debt servicing.
The present increase in oil prices, decline in exports, rise in imports, increased price of utilities, debt servicing in the form of interest and repayments, increased taxes and duties etc. are the biggest challenges for the Government. Apparently the government has neither shared such a plan before the parliament nor before the public.

Moreover, the most alarming thing to note is that this new budget of 2019-20 will be made in the light of the IMF program rather duly dictated by the IMF. I pray to Almighty Allah to guide our economy handlers to follow the correct path to pull the country out of the present economic crises. The dependence on IMF is driving us gradually towards bankruptcy unless we act wise to avert it. I demand, on behalf of the public, to place the IMF agreement in the Parliament and no further such agreement should be done without taking the Parliament into confidence.

National tolerance vaporising — political mess by Senator A. Rehman Malik

Today, I am touching a totally new and unusual topic with the hope that it will give us a reality check. It is unfortunate to note that our values are eroding at the cost of our national unity.

The use of cross derogatory language has created political mess and looks as if both the government and the opposition are on a container performing like joint opposition against the public whereas the public was expecting relief from the government. It is unfortunate that our politicians are not performing their role and ignoring the need of tolerance and behaving like as still running an election campaign. The tolerance and forgiveness is the key to keep the national unity, which we are eroding every passing day.

We have our great guidance from our religion and our Prophet (PBUH). We are in political fish market and this mess is required to be cleared by bringing better laws to be followed in full letter and spirit and without any discrimination. The feeling of revenge in the society has developed intolerance and distrust among the people. The attitude of forgiveness at individual level, collective level, parties' level, religious level and also at national level is diminishing fast. The non-forgiving attitude is breeding hate and division in the society.

Islam teaches forgiveness and tolerance over revenge and according to Quranic teachings, revenge is not an option. Non-forgiveness or revenge only increases the problem. The chapter titled Al-Nahl (Bees) of the Quran gives practical advice on this point. It says "If you want to retaliate, retaliate to the same degree as the injury done to you. But if you are patient, it is better to be so". (Quran 16:126)

In other words, if one is aggrieved and victimised but responds with patience and forgiveness, this behaviour holds more value in the eyes of Allah and may even serve as an atonement for one's own sins. The word "forgiveness or forgiving" is mentioned 91 times in the Holy Quran, of which 72 times are combined with "Merciful"; demonstrating that Allah's name "Al-Ghafoor" does not just mean that He forgives us but He also accepts repentance and pardons our faults/sins and protects us from the consequences and effects of our sins and actions, so we may go to Him without shame or guilt. His perfect forgiveness is truly a sign of His ultimate Mercy for us. In Surah Al-A'raf Allah says "Show forgiveness, enjoin what is good, and turn away from the ignorant." So, if the creator of this whole universe can forgive us for all our sins then what value do we hold to not forgive our fellow mankind? Islamic values and principles, if followed, would wash away all our distress and agony. It is an irony that although all religions teach tolerance yet we hate each other.

The attitude of tolerance is strengthened only if the element of forgiveness is considered seriously. It is a fact that we, the mankind, form this world and we need to be mindful of the fact that due to our personal recant and ego, the world cannot be peaceful unless we shun off all kinds of anger, hate, jealousy, envy including all kinds of discrimination. Any unjust, loss, humiliation or injury by anyone force the victim to be revengeful, however, the best option with the victim is patience and forgiveness. Non-tolerance shows the element of proudness which is never liked by Allah.

We, in our society gradually can develop the tolerance and can separate grudges from national likes and dislikes. The political parties and religious groups are pitched against each other. These powerful components of the society get driven for their own gains resultantly the national interests are ignored. We have seen proxy wars through some political parties, sectarian organisations and ethnic groups. We are suffering because of the proxy wars and some incompetent and ill-advised politicians who have greed for power, money and other personal gains. Islam demands for national unity and forgiveness. Let us not mix forgiveness and tolerance with accountability. We must realise our national duties and understand that nobody is above the law. Hence, law teaches us to be accountable and to be a good citizen. Good citizens are blessing for any country and good citizens with fear of law are the waders of the country.

Initially we were divided based on tinny sectarian and we got divided into number of sects and other self-designed drawbacks. We promote differences and resent consensus as a negative feature.

The media sometimes is promoting the negativity and even our politicians, as we see, are fighting with each other on TV screens over non-issue and their debate mostly ends without achieving anything but promoting intolerance in the society and a negative message of intolerance to their political followers. Therefore, we have to play a very responsible role to promote tolerance and forgiveness in our society rather to promote hate and intolerance. Pakistan was achieved with unity and to have own motherland without the seed of hate and grudge for all the coming new generations. We as nation must follow the Quaid's golden principles, 'Unity, Faith, Discipline': Quaid's golden principles to achieve national goals and to make Pakistan a successful and a prosperous country. Indeed unity and tolerance bring happiness and peace, prosperity and progress in a society.

What the present generation will give to their future generation to take this country forward to have prosperous, peaceful and tolerant society unless the present generation creates a culture of tolerance and forgiveness in the country. May Allah give us the strength to be tolerant and believe in others' rights without creating even iota of hate. May God bless our motherland and may peace be with everyone, everywhere and in every heart.

Remember tolerance with pragmatic thoughts and selfless input will make the difference and we must follow this philosophy to be tolerant and forgiving if we want to taste the qualitative difference both at individual and national level.
